The Show

Following the success of our inaugural exhibit “Farallones” Slowbender Gallery re-opens on October 3rd with:

“Mor”
new photographic works
by Dustin York

In Mor, Dustin plays with some existential questions that surfaced while he was shooting Point Reyes National Seashore. What started as nature & landscape work evolved into Mor

This new offering retains some of the formal rigor and muted palette familiar in Dustin's 2018 Farallon landscapes, but the subjects and locations are varied. One moment we find ourselves among the rugged sea cliffs of Northen California... The next we are floating in rainbow bubbles of childhood wonder... And still we tangle in the webs at death's door... At last, we are left gazing into a dark night sky, humbled by the vastness of the universe.

In “Mor” Dustin takes us on a foggy tour of paradox— How can we reconcile peak human experiences in nature, with our role in its ongoing destruction?

All works are in limited editions of 25 archival pigment prints on Hahnemühle paper or on lux cotton paper boards.

Private viewings are available upon request.
